Kentucky-based Start-up Hemp Foods America is launching a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to purchase viable seed, soil amendments, and other necessary implements needed to bring hemp into organic rotation in Kentucky. The company is out to raise $50,000 on Indiegogo which will allow Hemp Foods America to utilize its acreage and approved permits for the 2016 grow season.
The campaign will kick-off with a launch party next week in Louisville at The Green Building on Market Street. Guests will enjoy hemp-infused dishes and have a chance to will exlusive prizes. See details below.

Hemp Foods America was founded in 2014 by California native Chad Rosen. After learning how resilient hemp is, Rosen decided that commercializing the crop could help fight many problems plaguing rural, agrarian communities across the US. The opportunity to build a business around hemp and establish the first hemp foods manufacturing facility on American soil has motivated Rosen to ensure the success of the industry.
