On May 29, 2014, Representative Thomas Massie introduced House Amendment 754 to HR 4660, to prohibit the use of funds in contravention of section 7606 (“Legitimacy of Industrial Hemp Research”) of the Agricultural Act of 2014 (Public Law No. 113-79) by the Department of Justice or the DEA.

The vote was 246 – 162 in favor of the amendment.
