2000 | Kentucky hemp bill HJR 121 passes in House, dies in Senate

On February 25, 2000, a resolution, Kentucky HJR 121, "A Request the United States Drug Enforcement Administration to revise federal policy to allow state regulated development of industrial hemp production and processing" was introduced in the U.S. House. The third reading of the bill in the House took place on March 15, 2000 and the bill was adopted 48-2.


Despite the overwhelming amount of support in the House, the bill died in the Senate.
